About HaddyForge
HaddyForge is an independent game development studio focused on creating retro-inspired games, pixel art asset packs, development tools, and production workflows for creators.
As both a developer and creator, my goal is to build practical, production-ready resources that help developers prototype faster, build better games, and spend more time creating.
Developer First
I am a software developer by nature, and many of the workflows used to create HaddyForge assets are supported by custom tools that I have built myself.
This includes Python-based tooling for asset processing, multi-resolution exports, sprite sheet generation, animation preparation, format conversion, organization, and packaging.
These systems help ensure assets are delivered consistently, organized clearly, and ready for use in real-world game development projects.
AI-Assisted, Human-Directed
Modern tools, including generative AI, are used selectively throughout portions of my workflow to accelerate iteration, concept exploration, and production efficiency.
AI is never considered the finished product. Assets frequently undergo manual refinement, cleanup, resizing, animation, quality review, and processing through custom workflows before becoming part of a release.
My focus is not on generating the largest amount of content possible. My focus is on creating useful assets that provide real value while helping keep production costs affordable for indie developers.
